If we get by the Red Sox, it should be smooth sailing.
Hey Shawn G, let me explain my answer word for word since it is so confusing to you:
If we (the Indians and Indians fans, including me) get by the Red Sox (our next opponent and a team that tied for the best record in baseball and better than the Yankees), it should be smooth sailing (meaning that I think that I think we (again the Indians) are better than any National League team.)
I respect the Red Sox as a better team than New York, but that doesn't make be a fan of theirs.
Does that clear things up for you? (and you were the one who called me the idiot)

Actually the Indians might get past Boston.
As of tonight they are leading the series 2-1.
However... we have to look ahead to the Rox.
Those kids from Colorado are scrappy and WILL figure out a way to get the hits they need.
They have beat many teams that look better on paper... and really were perdicted to finish below the Giants at the beginning of the season.
Then there is the "air" in Colorado. The AL teams do not play at any park that has that type of elevation. People can say it doesn't matter, but I personally believe there is an advantage to the Rockies for playing there all the time.

I think the Indians will win the World Series this year!..It is time to finally get a title in Cleveland..we have waited so long over the years..been through so much with our sports teams. This past year has been an amazing ride for Clevealand sports (except the Browns) Cavaliers in the Finals..yea we lost in 4 games but it was our first ever title...now the Indians in the ALCS...I just see the Tribe as being desitned to win.
And another note..in the past 2 years..A.L. Centeral Division teams have represented the American League in the World Series (White Sox, Tigers).

Sorry this isn' t a definite , " YES ! "
But they have taken the 1st step . At around 11:30 tonight , they extinguished the flame of The New York Yankees ! .... not an easy task for any MLB team !
And the road ahead is a rougher route .
" The Boston Red Sox ! "

It would be nice to finally see a new face in the championship, but seeing how quickly the Red Sox eliminated L.A. they're going to be a tough contender.
Additionally, assuming Cleveland beats Boston, both the Rockies and Diamondbacks quickly dispached their first round contenders too. I think that this is going to be an exciting next few weeks.
I think Cleveland and Denver would make an awesome series. It would mean that someone would win who hasn't in recent times.

I sure HOPE we do. I just hope the Indians bats still stay alive against the Red Sox and then the NL Champ.
I'm going to wear my Travis Hafner shirt tomorrow when I visit my mother at the nursing home so other older people will ask and I can brag that the Indians beat those Damn Yankees!

Ive thought that since about the All Star break. That is a heck of a team.
I had hoped to see a Brewers-Indians series but, oh well, I like Erie.

Despite the idiot Redsox fan above me who is in denial thinking it will be "smooth sailing", any team in MLB with the staff and pen the Indians have are a definite threat to win the title. NOBODY wants to face Sabathia/Carmona
