I think that is okay to take two pills but make sure you call your doctor and ask. I am not expert.

As long as this is the only time that she forgot, she should be fine. If this becomes pattern as it does for some girls with as busy as things are these days, perhaps she might want to ask about the depro shot or the patch (fairly new) which I believe she would only have to put on 1xweek. She should talk to her gynocologist if she continues to have trouble remembering the pill since there are so many factors to be looked at such as does she usually take it the same time EVERY day. If you have any concerns though there are also condoms for back up until you are able to talk with a physician. Good Luck to you and your girlfriend

More than likely she won't be pregnant. It is never good to miss a pill but 1 day late isn't TOO risky. Also, the more pills you miss in a month, the more likely you are to get pregnant. So say 2 weeks from now she forgets one day again, it will increase her chances more than this time because it is the second time in the month. Hope that made sense.

Yep, she should be just fine. Birth control pills are about 99.9 percent effective if taken correctly. If you miss one pill and take it the next day, it only increases your chances of getting pregnant by a couple percentages. After a week of taking the pill at the same time every day again, she should be back up to that 99.9 percent of effectiveness. If she misses another pill in that week, she needs to throw away the pills and wait for her period before taking any more birth control.

My girlfriend is on the pill also. This is the answer she got from her doctor. If she misses one pill one day, she can take two the next day and be fine. However, if she misses two days in a row, then she should not have sex for another three days or so (assuming that she remembers and starts taking the pill again).
That's pretty much it in a nutshell.

Only way I think you'll find that out is if she misses her period and takes a pregnancy test. But as far as I know if she forgets her pill one day she should just take the missed pill for the day and then that days pill the next day. Taking two pills in one day isn't going to give you extra protection.

I actually looked this up on the instructions that came with my birthcontrol pills. (I take Yaz, but basically the Pill is the Pill)

Basically, you don't have to worry about using a back up birthcontrol method unless you miss 2 days in a row, so you should be fine.

depends on what part of her cycle she was at. If it was the sugar pill, white one, then it should be ok. But if it was the other than it might need to be checked out if you came inside her and didnt use a condom because sperm can live 7 days inside a woman. I wouldnt freak out but do a test.

she should be OK, but I certainly would check with her doctor. I also believe that taking 2 pills makes no difference, and not a good idea to do this...

Just for both your sakes, check with a professional

Good Luck

she should be fine. iknow on my pills, if you miss one, you take 2 on next day and don't need a backup method. i've missed many pills and i've never been pregnant. not that it's okay..most young women are VERY fertile. if it happens again, and you're worried, get the morning after pill.
