The Chicago Cubs won the National League Central Division and are the NL Central Division Champions.
They then lost the NL Division Championship to the Arizona Diamondbacks. AZ will play the Colorado Rockies, who won the other NL Division Championship series over the Philadelphia Phillies. The winner of the AZ vs. CO series will be the National League Champions, who will face the American League Champions. (I hope my Cleveland Indians beat the Boston Red Sox for the AL Championship!) The National League winner will play the American League champion for the World Series.

it is obvious that you do not know because the National League Championship series is about to begin between the Colorado Rockies and the Arizona Diamondbacks. The Phillies and the Cubs were eliminated from the national league playoffs by those teams. A better way to phrase your question would be (I think), who won the NL Central division? To that I would say the Cubs. You can easily go to mlb.com for any playoff information you need. It is the official site for Major League Baseball.

The NL Central was created in 1994. Since then the only representatives have been the 2004 Cardinals, 2005 Astros and the 2006 World Champion Cardinals. Others have made the playoffs, obviously, but not won the NL Pennant.

The Milwaukee Brewers spent a lot of time in first place after starting out the season winning a lot, but they faded in the end.
