I had the same problem. It was the potocin and the epidural that I was on. It took about a week before the swelling went down. Keep you feet elevated and take some motrin for the pain!

Feet usually swell because of high blood pressure. I am not sure. If you are really worried call the doctor and get an appointment.

i had the same problem with both pregnancies. a few days after having the baby my ankles and feel were sooo swollen it was embarresing! it's looks wrong but it happens to a lot of people, put your feet up as much as you can and it should only take a few days to go back to normal.

Elevate them above your heart when ever you can. It takes 9 full months for our bodies to change, gain weight, retain water, our joints to loosen ,our appetites and vitamin needs to increase and it just doesn't reverse itself overnight!
Have patience with yourself and give it a little time. Decrease your calories (if breastfeeding check with your doctor as to calorie needs), keep drinking water and take your prenatal vitamins for a while. And sleep when ever you get the chance! Exhaustion causes us to go after the sugary, high calorie foods to try to give us energy when it is sleep our body craves!
Congratulaions on the new baby!

Let your body lose the water that it retained during the pregnancy... it will take a while, probably a couple weeks... if you can keep them on a pillow while you are sleeping it might feel better. Good luck and congratulations!! :)

you body took 9mths to get this way, give your body time to heal itself. use a pillow under your ankles when in bed and put your feet up as often as possible 9 feeding time is a great way to start.
