You can hold hands and light candles to show you're for peace.

My Opinion:

In order to prevent major world conflict you need several conditions in place in every country in the world.
Each country needs to have the following:

Financial Stability- So that it can not create conflict through the world financial stystem. (Having less for it's people so it has to inflate prices and currency on the world market).

Domestic Stability- The ability of the country to supply the agriculture, staple goods and products for the peoples well being (food, water, security, ample "new world" utilities, etc.)

Political Stability- A fair and just political system that puts the people first, the country second and the outside world last. It is a noted fact that if the population is satisfied and well supplied, there is no unrest or civil strife.

This is my solution, in a nut shell. It can never be worked out. IF the world population came under the same rules and regulations and became a United World Federation, then it might happen.
