All week, the NY papers will be talking about how great Torre is and that George was out of line. Some time next week there will be a press conference stating that Joe will be back.

Torre should quit tomorrow. I don't know why he puts up with Steinbrenner's crap. He is too much of a class act to go through this two years in a row.

He never runs his mouth and he respects the game. As a Red Sox fan, I will miss having some sort of stability in the Yankee dugout. What the hell is gong to happen when he is gone?

I hope Joe Torre keeps his job, I think he is a darn good coach. Im not a Yankee fan but they have a great coach. If they want to get rid of him I wish my Texas Rangers would get him. But being in NY he is probally gone.

It doesn't matter who is managing this team of selfish twits. There is no leadership. Jeter being the captain is a joke, he is not a leader. He never has anything to say, never stands up for a teammate. They need someone with some a fire in their belly out on the field.

He's history. The Yankees organization loves you when you're winning, but you're gone when you start losing. They are brutal.

Does it really matter? Joe can retire if he wants. His contract is up anyway. If he wants a job he'll get one. Screw Steinbrenner
