The bottom line, Bush has to keep Bin Ladin alive so he can continue having this Iraqi war. We have a whole building across the street from the White Building rent free devoted to Bin Ladin's siblings' and family' investments here in the United States. Bush believes that Bin Ladin is worth more alive than dead. For example, Bush is deeply afraid that the Congress is going to end the war for him by overriding the veto. He had been saving this video of Bin Ladin. His advisors must had advised him to expose this video to persuade the Americans and the Congress. Remember Bush had an opportunity to get him, but he did turn down that chance.

There's a question of wether he's even alive. The photos of him when compared together look like very different people. His last is either a fake or he died his beard and hair black which I find hard to believe.
It is true that the Bin Laden family are friends with the Bush family. But it's far more complicated that that. Bin Laden and his group have been fighting to overthrow the Saudi Dictators that we have supported since WWII for a good oil deal.
Just what the connection is between Ben Laden and Bush or this administration is I can't be sure but I have this feeling that somehow they are working together (on purpose or by accident) because either way, Ben Ladin represents Terrorists in the world giving Bush a far fetched reason to continue fighting and filling the coffers of his military industrial complex buddies and the oil and energy consortiums. For Ben Laden, (if he's still alive) Bush gives him a reason to fight and great propaganda for enlisting people into his cause to drive America out of the Middles East - especially Saudi Arabia.
Frankly, I think the world wold be much better off without either of them.

Bin Laden is a hero in certain places in the world. People in certain societies do not want to turn him in, and some are even adamantly opposed to his capture. They are covering for and protecting him, and therefore we don't have good leads as to where to find him.

it's not hard - Bush & his cronies know exactly where bin laden has been since 9/11 - He found sadaam in a hole in the desert and can't find this guy??? He must be the best hide -n - seeker in the world!!!!
For real though, the Bush family & the bin laden's have been family friends from way back. There's film footage of them having dinner and whatnot together - all kinds of meetings - because they were in oil business together.

Because of the terrain of where he's hiding. He also has many people on his side willing to shield him from gun toting Americans.

"He's hiding in Pakistan in the northern tribal areas above Peshawar -- an area that is rugged, hilly, heavily forested," Schroen says. "The U.S. government and the U.S. military are not authorized by the Musharraf government to enter there unilaterally."

Since Bin Laden is very religious man and is fighting to protect the Muslims, God is protecting him in return for his righteous deed.

Because HE knows the Territory, & we don't. Because HE has alot of friends helping him, & we don't. And because to US he looks like every OTHER Arab in the tri-country area, and He can see US coming- a mile away, & escape!
