I've been dating this Indian guy for nearly a year. We are both students. He went back to India during the summer vacation, and hasn't returned to school yet. He says he is doing a research survey for his master's thesis and will come back to school when he's done with it. But it's been a month and half since the semester started, but he is still in India. This semester is his last semester, so I understand that he has nothing else to do but his thesis. Before the summer, his parents were giving him pressure to get married (to an Indian woman they selected for him). He keeps telling me that he is coming back, and is looking forward to see me. But now I doubt if he got married during the summer in his home country. I know his name and the city he resides (Delhi). Is there any way for me to find out if he is officially married recently? Without confronting him directly, of course.

It looks like you dont trust the guy anymore. I'd suggest do a lil soul searching and try and find out the level of trust between him and you. Cause the guy is still speaking to you, otherwise he'd have stopped that. Wait for him to come, as soon as he comes back u'd get to know.

Yes, you can officially confirm regarding his marriage if you check the record of the Marriage officers/Registrars of whole of Delhi. As there is not one but many such officers in Delhi one each for each district & there are seven such districts in Delhi. Provided he got such marriage registered with the Marriage Officer/Registrar. Let me tell you that the registration of marriages in India are not compulsory but nowadays every one gets it registered for the purpose of getting family visa to visit/work in any foreign country on the basis of such marriage certificate issued by the Marriage Officer/Registrar appointed under the Hindu Marriage Act, 1955 or the Special Marriage Act, 1954 or any other matrimonial law applicable in India. The records of such Marriage Officer/Registrar are open for public inspection on payment of applicable fee.

its better if you can go to india and check it out by yourself, because its better to see with our own eyes than to listen to others,or else you can tell one of your friend to call him at his home and talk to anyone except your boyfriend and while talking ask them why he has not turned up yet then you will definitely get the answer
