heavy bleeding,severe cramping for 3 days or more,irregular periods (1 or 2 sometimes in a month). I went to the doc and he did not feel anything suspicious but ordered an ultrasound and they did blood work. I will be 40 soon, could this possibly be hormone related? I am just wondering if anyone has experienced this too?

When I had that problem I had uterine fibroids. She could feel them a little bit and then the ultra sound really showed them. They can be inside your uterus or higher up where they cannot be felt during and exam. They are not cancerous but if left there they continue to grow.

If your ultrasound and blood tests don't show anything your probably going through your change of life.
I have been through this myself.
