I am having a disharge that i believe is a bacterial infection. I've been having unprotected sex with my boyfriend because we are planning to have a baby, but i am a considerable hypocondriact. I don't know if it's that or an STD. I had a discharge run down my leg while wearing my pajamas with no underwear. i ran my finger past the white stuff on my leg from my vagina and it smells weird, rather fishy. Anyway, I already have a doctors appoitment on Nov. 7th but I am totally paranoid tonight. The reason being is the smell makes very insecure and the possibility of a pregnancy. i read that a bacterial infection during a pregnancy can cause a miscarriage or other things. I've never been pregnant before and i'm not even sure if i am indeed pregnant. i don't know what to do right now and i'm losing my brains. Should i say Fu*k it and go to the hospital tonight? Or just wait all the way till Nov.7th and smell like a fish market until then? Seriously; I am seeking advice.

I'd say go to the ER tonight any discharge with an odor needs to be checked out.

Sounds like a bacterial infection for sure. Not an STD. November 7th is a long time to wait though with the effects of the infection. Try to find another dr. or call the office and tell them you are trying to become pregnant and are having a problem. They will get you in Im sure. Also I think that if you left the infection for months and months that is what they are referring to as far as miscarriage goes but I could be wrong. Good Luck.

I knew a girl once with an infection similar to yours and she waited until Nov 7th to be checked out. Sorry to say she ended up with a staff infection and 10,000 pimples all over here body that never went away. Poor thing lives like a hermit now, doesn't want anybody to see here. I think you better go to the ER tonight or first thing in the morning.

This is normal including the smell especially when you have been having sex. It's a chemical reaction between your body and the semen. You can always douche to have a nice fresh scent:) There is also feminine spray that you can buy. I was also told once by a doctor that they don't like you to douche a couple of days before your appointment if you are going in for a pap. I see many people pointing you towards the hospital. I assure you it is not necessary at this point.

I don't think you need to go to the ER, you will just have to wait a loooonng time there because a vaginal infection is not real high on their list of priorities! Call your Dr. (The one you have an appt with on Nov 7) and tell the Doctor or Nurse all of the symptoms you just described. I would say you need to call tomorrow morning because a fishy odor is never normal in the vaginal area; oh, and just some personal advice, take it or leave it, but having a baby is serious and in my opinion you should be married and in a stable, solid, marriage before you go making babies. Give the unborn baby the best chance in life.

Go to the doc tomorrow and get checked out. If you are that concerned though go to urgent care and see a doc now. No more sex until you get checked out by the doc. A fishy smell indicates an infection with the discharge. When you see the doc be sure to ask if your partner needs to be treated too.

I had the same symptoms once. It turned out to be Trichomoniasis (Trich). I took a week’s worth of Metronidazole twice a day. If it does turn out to be trich make sure your boyfriend get treated as well. If he doesn’t you will just get it again. It's very important to get treatment, trich is a parasite that will just grow and grow. It won’t go away on its own. Most cases take 20 days before symptoms, so if you had a different boyfriend 20 days ago then they need treatment also.

I just saw an ad on T.V. for a test kit for women. It should be avaliable at your local drug store. This kit test for 6 different things women can have from yeast infection to some S.T.D.'s.. LETS SEE.. you are having unprotected sex. You are trying to get pregnant. Its running down your leg. its white and smells kinda bad Right? sounds to me like its the deposit your boyfriend made leaking out.

First off, CALM DOWN! Don't go to the hospital tonight and definitely don't wait until Nov. 7, that's too far away. Get an appointment with someone else sooner.

You're loosing your brains? Call the Zombie Squad!

Vagisil recently developed a very handy screening kit for situations just like this.

I'd suggest grabbing a kit and getting some more reassuring results.

What's creepy about this is that I have a dentist appointment the same day you're getting this exam. Now I'll be thinking about this question of yours while getting my teeth scraped.. *cringe*

I think it would be fine if you waited 'till Nov. 7th, but if you are really that scared you should call your doctor and see if there are any appointments that you can get that are faster. If there aren't you could always go down to Planned Parenthood and get checked out there.
