This is a tricky question. Some people keep their secrets to protect the ones they love or care for. Others keep their secrets because they feel they need to. To them, their secrets might change how others would view them, if they knew what their secrets were.
Me, my life is an open book. I try not to keep anything secret. There are no skeleton's in my closet.

Because trust is earned, in my opinion.
Not everyone earns the right to know one deeply and intimately, they do deserve to be treated kindly, but intimacy, being vulnerable, is something I reserve for a select few, those whom I believe would not take advantage of my person and the trust given.
