You basically answered your own question, saying just what I was going to say. There is definitely a "Yankee bias" in the media. It's not right, but that's unfornately how it is.

TBS and Fox just saw their upcoming ratings drop by 25% with the Yankees knocked out.
The nets realize there are other teams -- they just don't care. Network television is all about ratings and money. The Boston market is money; the Cleveland, Denver, and Phoenix markets, well, they're not NYC or LA, now are they?
One reason CBS was glad to see its MLB contract end after 1993 was that the Blue Jays were in the World Series two years in a row, and a Canadian market is a zero in domestic ratings (no offense, Ontario, just a harsh truth).

As usual, at the beginning of the game they were all about the Yankees which is how it usually is with Ohio Pro Teams. Let the game take a turn & watch how quick they jump sides. U are right, they are very biased.

Didn't you see the portable defibrillators (AEDs) the Indians players were all running onto the field with after the game was over? They had to douse themselves in champagne, beer and other liquids so that the electric current will pass through the Yankee players easier to revive them after the loss. It was an amazing and heroic act by all of them!

No. The national media always have their favorites and it is never cities like Cleveland. I never listen to them. I turn down the TV and listen to Tom Hamilton on the radio. Otherwise I could not enjoy the game.

Because Cleveland was 0-6 against the Yanks during the regular season. It was just expected that they would roll over and be a stepping stone to the ALCS.

With that lineup they were supposed to crush the Indians.
I do believe that they forgot about the Yankee pitching.
The media loves the Yankees every year.
