Here that would be a crustacean. Is yours a lizard?

In both cases it could be the ambient temperature. They both have variable body temp. so if it's cool he could be functioning very slowly.

Try an electric light bulb near his living area.

Red-Tailed Boa?

I can help you if you put some additional detail in.

If it's a Boa, then he's either getting ready to shed or just preparing for winter. Snakes usually don't like eating during the winter time.

ok im going on its a boa since its in the reptile section. but dont freak out just yet. it is getting to winter many will lay off eating.

has it ate before? and if not then it will just take time.

if it has ate before like i said it may be winter or simply not be hungry. Boas can god months without food as long as they still act and look healthy. my python went a month and a half before even looking at the rat i was putting in his cage everyday. I feed frozen as i hope many people would do but just try differnt colors size and try rats and mice maybe even gerbils. and see if any will intrest him just dont freak out yet because it wont help you or the snake. if its still not eating in a month or so let me know.

It's not unusual for breeding size boas to go off food this time of year. Sept and Oct. is the start of their breeding season.
