My ex husband has been emailing me and he just wants to talk, he is dating around and I am in a relationship but he just wants to talk as friends. he said he use to look at my picture sometimes: I know he cares about me as a friend but why would he do all of these things if he isn't in love with me?

The only reason that I would want to talk to my ex is if I needed to talk to him about one of our 3 children...other than that...I have no reason to be calling him or him calling me.

I have been divorced now for about 3 years and every once in awhile I like to talk to my ex just to see how he is doing because I know I made a mistake. I will always love him because he was a big part of my life and when things go wrong now its Good to hear a voice from the past. It doesn't mean I am still in love with him

ex who talk about their other relationships or the fun they are having only want one thing, for their partner to feel bad. Its an ego thing. If a guy is sensitive, he will not share things that will hurt his ex. He will hide it not because he is covering up, but because he loves the person and doesn't want them to get hurt even after the relationship has ended. Ego or revenge, you decide base on how your life was together.

Perhaps he's realized what he has lost?

The thing about ex's, though, is that they have the potential to become your best friends. No one else knows you the way they do. They know you better than anyone else. Maybe he's trying to get you to cheer him up like you used to. Maybe he's going through a tough time a wants to feel connected with some he knows he has things in common with.

Transitional Phase- Separation. Perhaps just reminiscing and wandering about the past. Do u have children together, cuz if u do, its good to be in good term with ur ex-husband but now, focus on ur new flourishing relationship.
