Holy sh*t there are alot of religions, i my self am not religious but when ask l like to respond that im an omniverest, but trully i find that religion is a waste of time, but i like to here other people reasons for believing what they do.

Unification church (officially a cult!), though I've attended a Protestant one since... ever.
Um, well. I've been wondering about this whole religion thing. Its possible its made-up. Idk.
I have to look up what an omniverest believes in. I'll get around to it.

I was Christened Episcopalian at 3...raised mostly Baptist and Methodist...spent a year with the Mormons, studied a bit with JW's, attended Catholic Mass when it was still in Latin for Xmas and enjoyed reading the Catholic Newspaper...Went some to the Pentecostals R&R'ers...chanted a bit with the Buddhists...and ended up in the Seventh-day Adventist Church. To me they are as close as you can get to Biblical and historical accuracy. Another interesting thing is that all those groups have two basic concepts...to love their God as they know Him and to love their fellow man...then they kill each other over doctrinal difference..Don't figure huh. Mmm

Wow, either Christians have too much time on their hands, or atheists just draw them like flies...
I think this is a great question, because it gives us a good idea of where the answers in R&S are actually coming from.

I know that I am a good person and IF there is a God then why would he send me to the fiery inferno that sooooo many believe there is, just because I don't pray and practice a "religion"? Answer that one for me. And, if you read your bible you would not see ANYWHERE that is says you go to a fiery inferno. It says that you go to Hades, which is to the ground, never to wake again. That is all, back to dust. However, if you are good, christian and truly worship, follow and believe in God's ways, you go to Hades also (to the ground) however, you wait, with no knowledge of time, for your resurrection.

You may have thought of telling your religion, as it may make others comfortable in telling about theirs.
However, I feel it does not matter what one's religion is. It is a matter of faith. In the final analysis, after all the rituals, prayers, offerings and chants are done, the only thing that matters is how one treats another fellow being, regardless of color, religion, and anything else.

"salad bar" (Roman) Catholic... I work with the things I believe are true but cut out the things I disagree with (primarily the parts that have to do with hate and discrimination... those are not Christian values to me).
I attend a Paulist Church (a type of Catholic... like the Jesuits are a type of Catholic).

I am my own religion. Pray to God. Jesus is the Son. but people twisted it up so bad in the last two millenia that everyone has to find their own truth. Learn what He had to say and skip the rest.
