I can't remember the names of the places now, but I think the most expensive was either this Japanese place in Long Beach, CA, or a rotisserie in Houston, TX. Both came out to around $100 or $120 for 2 people, after a drink and a dessert and a tip.

The Japanese was hibachi style place, typical sort where they cook the food in front of you with flames and such. Decent atmosphere, and the "waitresses" were very polite and a bit submissive, they attended our every whim, kept our drinks completely full, made sure everything was perfect. Food was excellent, shrimp and beef and chicken and lobster and rice and veggies.

The rotisserie in Houston was a restaurant where people would come around with 20 or 30 different items, one at a time. Beef and lamb and porks of all varieties and seasonings, and some shrimp selections, as well as a few vegetables and fruits, like warmed spiced pineapple. When the food bearers come around, you get a slice or bit of each item that is being served, one at a time, sliced right off the selection they are carrying. Atmosphere was excellent, there was a live pianist, dim lighting, nice interior with dark woods and linens and all. There was a salad and olive bar as well.

Those were a bit pricey dinners, we only eat at places like that a couple times a year. Usually we keep our bill at about $50 for two. So those were double, or a bit more, from our regular dinners out.

I can't help but wonder if The Rusty Pelican is a restaurant chain. I vaguely remember visiting a restaurant of either the same name or a similar one in the Miamai, Florida area. I was there for a baby shower. I wasn't too impressed with it either.

My ex was working in the restaurant. It was Dragon restaurant. It s found in the city of Montego Bay, in Jamaica. I spent Jam. $12,000. Yes the food was ok but i was not hungry after seeing him. The atmosphere was tense. Very often because of my dad, family's and special holiday.
