I inherited quite a few years back a little less than 20k. After three years, I realized if I invested it in the company I was working for Valero (VLO), that I could have tripled my money. Instead I blew it on day to day stuff.

Google GOOG and Apple APPL would had been the best choice and more profitable investments 4 years ago. Google went from $100 /trade to almost $600 / trade today. Apple went from $40/trade to $160/trade today.
