Arkansans don't take kindly to folks who harm their Great State or their Great Nation.... The Clinton's haven't killed anyone else from Arkansas lately so the Arkansans are just glad they are gone.... But, to answer your question, I agree with the majority of your answers so far.... It was all about this presidential run.....

To run for the New York State Senate Seat.

Because she was running for senator from the state of New York. The law requires that only a resident of NY state can do that, so she bought a house there and moved in to it.

So that she could run for the US Senate. I felt that she could get elected in New York, but not Arkansas. It also helped that New York does not have residency requirements like most states, which require a person to live in the state for at least one year before running for office.

To run for a open senate seat. Granted she probably wouldn't have moved to Wyoming to run for an open senate seat. New York was a good state to launch a presidential bid. Plus she is more comfortable with New Yorkers than she would be with say, Californians.

So she could run for the Senate so she could run for president. That's why they call her a carpet bagger. She know nothing about NY and only wants power.

When Bill was president for those 8 LONG years, everyone knew she was planning to run. The "anybody but Hillary" campaign started up YEARS AGO!

Because it's a powerful political state and she had ambitions. The people of New York sure don't seem to mind, they re-elected her with 67% of the vote in the midterms. It's not an unusual thing for a politician to do, it happens quite often.

Because she knew that NY was one of the only states where she could become Senator and from there run for President. That woman has been plotting since college.
It is no wonder that she wrote her thesis about Alinsky

Alinski devised and proved thirteen tactical rules for use against opponents vastly superior in power and wealth ...
1."Power is not only what you have but what the enemy thinks you have.
2.Never go outside the experience of your people.
3.Wherever possible go outside of the experience of the enemy.
4.Make the enemy live up to their own book of rules.
5.Ridicule is man's most potent weapon.
6.A good tactic is one that your people enjoy.
7.A tactic that drags on too long becomes a drag.
8.Keep the pressure on.
9.The threat is usually more terrifying than the thing itself.
10.Major premise for tactics is development of operations that will maintain constant pressure upon the opposition.
11.If you push a negative hard and deep enough it will break through into its counterside.
12.The price of a successful attack is a constructive alternative.
13.Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it.

The real action is in the enemy's reaction. The enemy properly goaded and guided in his reaction will be your major strength. Tactics, like life, require that you move with the action."

New York is a lot more liberal than Arkansas. Doubt she could have won a Senate seat in Arkansas.

Keeps her in the headlines and is a very heavy Democrat state, with a lot of pull. So she gets to stay in the spotlight and get the power of representing such a large amount of people. It was a good political move.
