I hope so.
If the Religious Reich wants to run a third party candidate, more power to them. Maybe the more sensible conservatives will take the GOP back from the godbotherers who are trying to turn this country into a theocracy.
And I'm a liberal Democrat.

No, Dobson has very little electoral strength. His authority is considered moral, not political.
I also hope we don't get another President like we have had for the last 20 years. We have had liberal after libera - Bush 1, Clinton, Bush 2. We need a real conservative in office. Ron Paul is the only qualified and logical choice.

I highly doubt it. On the plus side if the Republicans lose, Democrats will have to step up and take some of the blame for the direction of the country, and I'm all for that.

Yes, it will. Dr. Dobson needs to rethink his position.
Your comment regarding the Republican president, may I remind you he was voted in twice...
Congress, the U.N., Nancy Pelosi, Hillary And Bill Clinton, Howard Dean, John Edwards, and many many other voted to go in to Iraq. So, it is their war too,
Congress has the lowest rating in the polls that they ever had in the history of the U.S. Did you know that? A Democratic congress. now who are the idiots.??

I dont think he is helping things. I think his position is that if Hillary is elected, there will soon be a huge uprising that will squash her policies/programs, but if Rudy is elected, his liberalness will not be so blatant so it will have a chance to seep into the culture and by the time anyone notices it will be too late. His position has gotten me thinking, I must admit.

Dobson's intent is not to help or hurt a particular candidate. He simply stated his beliefs, based on candidates' stated positions. He is a man of principle, and is standing on them. A lesson many in politics could learn.

I believe that at this point he is just trying to influence the primaries and get somebody besides Rudy nominated.

I doubt it. I personally don't think the religious right swings as many votes as they claim. The right-wing religious zealot dingbats will mostly still vote Republican.
