Strawberry Fields: Pink Floyd's my favorite band but alot of their stuff (especially the Final Cut) really gets me down

I don't know about artists whose every song makes me smile, but Van Morrison is definitely a front runner. A lot of Thin Lizzy's songs do as well.

Just about any southern rock band, because they remind me of my home :D I especially like Lynyrd Skynyrd, Fleetwood Mac, and the Allman Brothers.
Kansas because... well, just because. I don't know, Miracles Out of Nowhere just makes me have laughing fits.
The Doors because every time I hear a song by them, I think of the Whiskey Song :P
The Beatles... just pure fun!
Almost forgot one: They Might Be Giants. I don't own any of their stuff, but my choir teacher likes playing them. They have songs on nuclear fission, a worm that wants to be a drummer, and other really weird topics.

I would say Dr. Hook and the Medicine Show, but I don't think I can. Their songs are either extremely goofy and ignorant (in a funny way) or extremely sad....no in between it seems.
So, I'll say ZZ Top and Dr. John....Beatles to (in general).

Tankard- most of their songs are about beer or drinking
Scatterbrain- most of their songs are just weird or funny
Finntroll- they play folk/viking metal, with Finnish Humppa music and sing about drinking and trolls
