That is a great question which really got me thinking, I'll give you a few answers:
I placed band names and references for people who may not be familiar with some of the artists I listed.
Hard Rock category:
Robert Plant (Led Zep) & Chris Cornell (Lead singer Audioslave).
80's rock category:
Jim Peterik (Survivor, y'know eye of the tiger) & Kevin Rowland (Dexys Midnight Runners)
Side note: Dexys Midnight runners has many better songs than C'mon Eileen. If your curious about them download/listen to the following songs by them:

Kevin is Irish and has a great vocal range.

Side note: How can anyone who likes 70's music not have the Eagles Greates Hits cd (2 cd's)? Every song is great!

Sam Cooke (Deceased so not possible, he sang "Cupid draw back your bow" and some other good hits) & Jackie Wilson (Also Deceased, sang "Your love, keeps lifting me higher" and many other hits)
