If, as you say, God is light and that is it... then don't allow yourself to become swayed with another belief system!!!

dark matter is simply something science invented to explain something they couldn't otherwise explain. it's called "dark" matter because it can't be seen. it's not a demon. we're not even fully sure it really exists yet.
the speed of darkness is the same as the speed of light, because darkness is only the absence of lilght.
how does any of this lead you to the possibility that there could be 2 gods? and how do you plan on experimenting with this?
and despite your best efforts to prove otherwise, there actually ARE intelligent people who believe in God.

There used to be a field of study called alchemy, that assigned moral or spiritual significance to various elements. The goal of the alchemists was to synthesize the purest and most incorruptible metal, gold, from the basest, lead. They never succeeded, of course, but along the way some of them began discovering interesting physical properties and reactions in the materials they were studying. This was the beginning of modern chemistry. The chemists soon realized that the metaphysical baggage contributed nothing to their understanding of what was really going on, while the metaphysicians realized that the metals were really only symbols of the inner truth they were seeking, and so alchemy divided in two and the two factions went their separate ways.
A similar process went on in all fields of study in the 17th and 18th centuries, leading to modern science. What you are proposing hearkens back to the metaphysical approach to understanding the world. While it may be philosophically interesting, it is sure to be scientifically useless.
No one is sure what dark matter is, or even if it really exists, but it does not stand in contrast to normal matter as dark does to light. Physically, of course, dark is not a substance or energy, but merely the absence of light. Dark matter is so called because so far it appears to be invisible, and to not absorb, reflect, or emit light.

God is indeed light and Jesus is the Light of the World.
As for Dark Matter it is simply matter which we can't see and in bits left over after the creation, which didn't become galaxy's etc. I guess just something God has the creator made to confound the scientists who seem to have an answer to everything.

Seriously, religion and science go together like oil and water. I've seen a similar question about "the speed of dark" and quite frankly it's a rather inane and fatuous question. It's like asking what the speed of silence is. Pretty silly when you think about it for longer than a second.

The answer to your question has nothing to do with God or demons, if you want a religious response go to the correct category. Dark matter is matter that can't be seen, it is an important quest for science to find it because it is believed that 90% of the matter in the universe is dark matter and it should be slowing down the expansion of the universe. A lack of sucess in finding this dark matter has led science to believe that there must be a source of dark energy that is causing the continuing expansion. Simple, right?

Is this a joke?
How does believing that god is light help in any way? Do you believe god is gamma radiation too? Because that's light, and it's pretty deadly. Or maybe it's better to figure out what stuff really is, even if it's complicated?
No, there is no 'speed of darkness'. Darkness is just the absence of light. No gods involved. I'm curious as to how you planned to test any of this.
EDIT: Rain, I don't see how your story - which has been attributed to everyone from Einstein to the president of India - none of them correctly because someone just made it up - has anything to do with what she asked.

Blessed Rain made two vital points in her story which EVERYONE ELSE seemed to miss. I would not even post this except that her message was missed by everyone.
1. Cold is the absence of heat
2. Dark is the absence of light
Neither is something in its own right. That was a masterful tale, masterfully told. Thannks Blessed Rain!

According to all of our observations and calculations distant spiral galaxies are spinning faster than the amount of matter we see in them should allow for. By all calculations most of them should fly apart.
Therefore scientists have injected the idea of 'dark matter' to explain the extra mass a galaxy should require to stay together.
It is simply called 'dark matter' because we have not seen it yet, nor do we understand what it is like.

your taking religion too seriously. if there is a god then he isnt matter, he is the one who created matter. and the term dark matter doesnt mean its evil. it just means it doesnt interact with light, so we cant see it. dark matter is just something science has come up with to explain a few things in the universe that dont yet have an explaination. its just a 'gravitational link' between objects.

I neither believe in god - nor have heard of "dark matter." Stop straining at a societal requirements, start spelling "God" with two "o's", love and help people. End of message. R.
