Your adviser should be able to answer some of these questions, or if you have a career development center on campus check in there.
I say stay in school and play around with classes, buy a few books on majors and careers and find one that looks appealing, research it. I found that the following websites helped me quite a great deal!

You can change your major in the middle of the semester, in most cases, but you cannot change the classes you are taking halfway through. You couldn't possibly catch up at this point. So your options for this semester are to start planning for next, or to give up altogether. What you need to do really depends on what the problem is. Are you generally depressed, or is it just the subject matter that you don't like? Those are sometimes hard to disentangle, which is why you may want to both talk to an academic and a psychological counselor to get yourself going again.
The big problem with dropping out is that none of these resources would be available to you, and there is no guarantee that you would ever figure out what you wanted to do on your own.

It's probably too late to change your classes now (my university is a month and a half into the semester already). However, you can withdraw from your classes and take the rest of the semester off - or try your best to finish them and talk to an academic advisor or dean about changing your major. Is there anything else you're interested in? Go for it. If not, maybe drop out for a while, get a job, and find out what you would be interested in. Good luck.

You can change majors/classes any time at all. You don't really have to even settle on one major until close to your senior year. I'd not completely withdraw, but maybe slack back on the number of hours, pick up some electives, and then take the summer to re-think things. It's been my experience that life gets in the way of picking up where a person leaves off in college, if they completely drop out.

Finish your classes, you can you the credit towards electives and you don't waste your money. Stay in school, take some career testing that can tell you a bit about yourself. You should like what you do, or at least be good at it. Do not study something simply for the payday at the end. remember money can't buy happiness. If you are an indecesive person, I strongly suggest staying in school, otherwise you may never decide on a profession you will want to do for the rest of your life. Maybe just pick something you want to do for the next ten years. BTW counselors are pretty useless, they do not give a crap.

First take a weekend and think about what you really want to do. If you know you have something to do while you are out of school then take the time off. Also go talk to your academic counselor and to your parents. Sometimes what you major in in college is not what you do in life. But think this out clearly and then make your decision.

I'd think you should be talking to your academic advisor, as well as career counseling, about this... not us! Please make appointments with these folks and talk it all through. The former knows your school policies, etc. and has no doubt helped others through similar quandries.
Good luck!
