i only have a paper copy but i need something like the official copy fast

The hospital supplies the information, but birth certificates usually are issued by the local government where the hospital is located.

Original birth records are recorded and filed at your local court house. Hospitals may or may not have a copy.
Some states have consolidated all birth records and you will need to pay a fee to get a certified copy from the state. However this will take 2 to 8 weeks or longer.

NO.... if you were born in NY State, you must go to the Cit hall where you were born---where they keep vital statistics and ask for a copy... it will cost you ---I think $10 - $15 for one copy..... For example, I was born in Ellis Hospital in Schenectady County so I went to Schenectady CITY HALL and got a copy from the vital statistics office there... You can also call them or just send in a request by mail enclosing your payment for each copy.....

hospitals dont provide that service
you have to enquire at you local municipal town halll
(birth,death & marriages) and ask for a copy you will have to pay a small charge
