i do turn it off and will be tonight...don't want to hear from my redsox friends

Even when told to by people who think they have that right, I leave it on. If I feel like being considerate, I'll put it on vibrate. But most of the time, I leave it on. Anyone who has my cell number knows when not to call. If they call, it's for a damn good reason and I don't care, I'm answering.

I leave my cell phone off unless my adopted sons are leaving the house to go somewhere other than school so that they will be able to call me. They each have their own cellular phones for the same reason. They have the types that I add minutes to so that they can call me when they are gone from home in case they are in any situations that they need to call for help. I also only turn my cellular on whenever I am leaving my house in case someone should need to reach me in case of an emergency. I hate talking on phones, period!

yes, one reason is that i just get tired of people calling me sometimes especially when I'm working and at times I just don't want to be bothered. I feel some times if its that important they will leave me a message and I will eventually check my messages. A also don't like some one calling me if I'm in the grocery store or just shopping and prefer to be
alone. Another reason I would turn my phone off is if I'm in the doctors office or in a meeting. I believe that it is so rude if your in a restaurant or at the register and being waited on and some one calls an I'm not attentive to my clerk. I would expect the same respect from them if I were waiting and they were talking on the phone while checking me out at the register. Its just called respect, to be attentive in certain situations.

I turn it off all the time. I've never put it on vibrate. I figure if it's important they'll leave a message.

It depends if it is low on battery I'll turn it off. But if I'm in class or in a movie, it goes on vibrate. Exept if I have a teacher with super hearing of doom, then it goes to silent.

I turn it off quite often. I don't usually hear or feel it when it's on vibrate, so why not save some battery power?

Never, if I can't have the ringer on I'll turn it on vibrate. I need to be able to know if someone is calling.

I never turned off my old cell, but I am going to turn off my new cell phone because nobody has my number now.
