I saw my mother in law get a scarf for a gift a few weeks before Christmas and saw the face that she made when she opened it. 3 weeks later I got that as a gift from her on Christmas Eve.

I think that it is rude and if you don't like a gift you are given and are unable to say anything or exchange it than you should not re-gift but offer it to who you think might like it and see if they could use it.

if the re-gifts comes from the person that not too close to you.. it's no big deal at all... and if it comes from the person that dont have extra money and he/she got a gift months ago and it didnt opened yet, i think it's no big deal too. But if the re-gifts comes from your loved one like your B.F. or husband or partner, well, it;s really A BIG DEAL! i hope you're not giving re-gifts to your loved one..lol just kidding.

Yes on the re-gifted. If I've forgotten someone on Xmas or B'day I will give them a gift someone gave me. I've given away some nice stuff that way. But I like to give as well as receive.

I've never re-gifed and I don't know if I've ever received a re-gift, I hope not.

i have too, cause the real gift is in the giving of it. so it doesn't matter if it is a re gift as long as it is new and never been used.

No.

I personally think that it's quite rude to re-gift.

If it's something you don't want, return it to the store and either get something else, or use the money for the return for a different gift for the one you intended to re-gift to.

I've re-gifted.....but not as a gift.

I did it when someone gave me something that I thought someone else could use.....and I told both parties what I did.

yes on both accts.
Why not give a perfectly nice gift,if you know someone else would love it,and its something that you know you wont ever use.

I have received them, but I think it's bad taste, so I never do it to others.
