I have Golden-Brown hair, Blue-Gray-Green eyes, a High Forehead,and Oily, Fair-colored skin.
I have no clue what type of makeup would look good on me, and I havent really tried anything other than mascara.
Can anyone find some makeup that would look good on me? (Mascara, Eyeliner..a color other than black, Blush, Lipliner, Lipstick/LipGloss, nail polish even! =D)
Please stay under $50 total.
Thanks! - Em

First, are you a COOL or WARM color palette? [ This is much easier with a picture. ] Try on following colors, with no makeup on, and bare shouldered.
1] do you look better in black, or very dark brown?
2] do you look better in bright blue, or bright orange?
3] do you look better in silver or gold jewelry?
If you answered yes to all first answers, you are a COOL.
Cool colors: [ all have a blue undertone ]
white, pink, cherry red, coral, lemon yellow, mint, jade, forest green; sky, royal, smoke, and navy blue; lavender, plum, gray, black, and silver jewelry.
If you answered yes to second answers, you are a WARM.
Warm colors: [ all have a golden undertone ]
ivory, tomato red, peach, orange, rust, golden yellow, lime, kelly, olive green; aqua, turquoise, and teal blue; purple, caramel, espresso brown, and gold jewelry.
EYES:
shadows: choose shades from your color palette above. A
color that contrasts with blue with make eyes look bluer [ grays, greens, purples, browns ]; contrast with green etc. [ blue, gray, purple, brown ]; contrast with green etc. [ purple, grays, blues, browns ].Use your metal color [ silver or gold ], your light neutral [ white or ivory ], and your blush color [ pink or peach ] for accents.
liner/mascara: try brown or black-brown mascara, since hair and skin are so light
lips/cheeks: for cool -
pink, rose, cherry red, coral, burgundy, plum
for warm -
peach, orange, tomato red, rust, copper, caramel
Start with a good haircut - side or wispy bangslook great for high foreheads.
Second, shape and if necessary, darken brows [ see eyebrowz.com for examples ]. It make a big difference - enhances whole face.
Third, makeup. Start with mascara, blush, and lip color - they make a big difference, and are not too difficult.
Branch out to liners, shadows for special occasions - dances, parties.
Start neutral, then branch out to more and brighter or vivid colors.
Cover Girl, Maybelline, L'oreal, Revlon, Almay, and Neutrogena all make good products - they are probably cheapest at WalMart, unless CVS is having a sale.

i think you should try something a little light. like light blue or purple, even white! the way you describe yourself is sort of like me, and that's the sort of thing i usually wear. you don't have to take my advice, but it works for me!!!
