Incorrect:
Evidence shows that the Kurds were actually gassed by Iran and not Iraq during the war. Iraq used a different gas than Iran. The Iranian type was used on the Kurds.
Since Reagan supplied Saddam and Iran with weapons, they should know.
edit: Saddam gassed the Iranians during the war. The US second hand story has been that Saddam gassed the Kurds. The Iranians penetrated northern Iraq. Since the discussion, I've been doing some preliminary research into the matter. Lets both do a little digging and share the info on YA.

Please give me proof that Saddam gassed the Kurds. I don't believe ANYTHING the government tells me about Saddam.
As far as murdering the opposition - isn't that exactly what we are doing in an effort to gain control over Iraq?

Liberals were against the war because it is a war of imperialism. Liberals had no love for Saddam. Saddam was CIA. Saddam was right-wing. Like many unsavory characters (Pinochet comes immediately to mind) he was a right-winger propped up in power by the U.S.

You know, that's really, really sick. What kind of twisted mind comes up with these questions?
What you shouldu be asking yourself is this: Is the removal of Saddam Hussein worth the lives of 3,800+ soldiers and counting, plus tens of thousands of innocent Iraqi civilians? Is it worth the chaos that has taken over? Worth Blackwater abusing Iraqi civilians and our soldiers? Is it worth billions of taxpayer dollars, on loan from the Chinese. Is it really worth losing our standing in the world, making enemies out of friends?
Remember, you cannot bring democracy at the barrel of a gun or the blast of a bomb.

That's kind of silly argument.
Do you mean that if someone is against executing a murderer because they don't believe anyone should die if possible, therefore, they are cheering when the murderer killed his victim?
That's a very thoughtless argument.
I was for the war and the removal of Saddam. I don't like it when governments attack our allies (Israel and Kuwait), or attempt to assassinate our President, or attacking our troops during a cease-fire.
I also don't like silly arguments.

Who is this lib guy?? Is it that guy the drive by media keeps talking about to scare people into becoming Nazi lovers? It is funny how Rush Limbaugh always talks about his friends that are libs when we all know he has no friends except for that witch Ann who copies other people books.

Give me a break.
A lot of dictators do the same thing to their people(North Korea)....and I don't hear Americans wanting to invade them.
Saddam gassed his people, then it was Iraq's problem, not ours. The Iraqis didn't want to stand up to him, and today the Iraqis still can't get their act together with Saddam gone.
