You can buy metal "soap bars" at most home stores that take the smells out. I know Crate and Barrel carries these, as do most other places similar.
OR, you can find anything that's stainless steel, it's the same effect. Just run it under the water with your hands, rub your fingers along it and presto! No smell.
Note: if you are washing them with a knife, be VERY careful not to touch the blade part.

rub your fingers over something that is stainless steel under running water. It really works for any smell, even stinky fish orders!

Toothpaste. Put toothpaste on hands and vigorously rub. Make sure you get under fingernail. Then wash hands. Repeat as needed. Works for onion smell too.

Yeah, it seems like it never comes out.
First wash your hands good. Then rub a stainless steel item (doesnt matter what... sink nozzle, fork, spoon, whatever... but it has to be stainless steel).
Also washing your hands, then rubbing salt on them, then washing again seems to help too.
Its weird..but the steel actually works. Not sure why...

Rub it on anything made of stainless steel. In fancy kitchen stores, they even sell a stainless steel bar used just for that.

Steel gets rid of it. Rub your fingers on something metal.

rub your hands across a piece of stainless steal, then rinse your hands off. Most kitchen knifes are stainless, use the flat side, but still be careful it is a knife.
