This is torn between two "lovers" and thats you and your girlfriend. Nevertheless, between friends, you are and her, can't you sacrifice this one boy for her? Remember, she is your best friend and someone who is like you. Therefore, you are not going to hurt yourself by doing anything against your self, do you? So, suggestively, reward her with this boy but you need to talk it over first with her; letting her acknowledge this sacrifice you have done for her. Definitely, she will love you for that and how could she ever forget your kindness and understanding. Its more than that. In fact, you have taught her the way a friend should be and the way of peace. You may lose that boy but at least you have kept a friend! You may want to notify the boy about the sacrifice you have made and in return, the boy must understand the sacrifice you have made for a friend. Consider the boy as a great gift to your friend and take that with a confidence that if you have "lost" this one you may gain, perhaps, a better man as a token of your good deed. So, all the best to you!

first, know that friendship is built by time, not by a feelings. It is a gift that should be treasured and from what I see, you really want to treasure what you have. She is very lucky. Nonetheless, the fact remains that friendships need to be tested (either by both parties or by outside situations) and this is one of those test. Tell her you have a crush on the same guy and both of you will have fun trying to win him over. The key is to be gallant and if she considers you as a real friend, she won't get mad at you for liking the same guy. Who knows, she might even back-off. Anyway, none of you have a rights over the guy. He never said he liked either of you, right? so basically the best woman can still win. And the best woman who doesn't win, can still be the champion by being happy for her friend.

Talk to her and tell her you feel the same way about the boy. You two could obsess over him together. She`s your true friend and she won`t care if you like him, it might hurt her a bit, but don`t fight over a boy most of the time it`s not worth it. Best of luck to you : )

See how you said "major crush"? Crush is the keyword here. You're going to get over this boy in time, and if your frienship with your best friends is in ruins... you're left with no one. You two should talk it out and agree to something. Whatever you do, DON'T go for him, unless she's pushing you to do and you knwo she's not going to stab you in the back.

Be a really big awesome friend and not like the guy she likes.
You said you like someone else as well, so go for them instead.

take this as a challenge, she would rather feel the same as you do to that boy..wait for the boy to select which one would he prefer, if he will choose your best friend then accept the fact and let them be...
