Yes, and if want to drive so bad then i feel you should learn how to take care of your own car, woman get ripped off cause men try and pull the wool over on them but if they learned how to take care of their car this wouldn't happen as much. I not only change my oil but i check all belts, hoses, tires, anti-freeze,lights i change or replace and if i can't do it then i ask the young man next door that just got married and i know he can use the extra $$$$.and he won't rip me of.

Not me, but you need to look up Roy D Mercer. In Alabama he says he changes his oil himself all the time and they even have a designated ditch they put it all in. My father used to do it all the time but I don't know what he did with the old oil. Of course they were not as environmentally conscious as we are today.

Yes, I learned how to when I was 16. I also can change my tires, and I changed my break pads and rotors once.
I always wanted to do anything a 'boy' can do, but only better.....I'm a pretty independant girl.

Heck no. My dad taught me how to do it, but I'd rather just take it to a mechanic. My BF does it for me now...he's a mechanic.
