Bad call.

1st, Bush Sr. served as President for only 4 years. Second, bin Laden was working with the US against the Russians just prior to the beginning of his term & was still considered an "asset". 2nd, bin Laden was not considered a threat to this country until after Bush left office. It was only after the bombing of the 2 African Embassies in the later 90s that there was evidence to link him to terror against the US.

Clinton lobbed a few cruise missiles at him in Afghanistan & missed. Considering all the circumstances of the time, what more would you have him do? Dubya invaded Afghanistan as a result of 9-11 to track down bin Laden & has been unsuccessful. I'm biased, so I won't go any further in a diatribe against Bush except to say we should have gotten him. Why didn't we?

I guess my whole point in posting is if you are going to throw rocks at people, at least try to get your facts straight.

Terrorism which stems from an ideology of religious fanaticism, revenge, hatred, blood lust and domination represents no country, no organized army and no critical targets. It is a very tough war to win - as evidenced by most of the world's reluctance to confront the Islamic terrorists.
But confront them we must. They cannot continue to slaughter thousands of innocent victims with impunity.
I am proud that the United States and her true allies have finally stood up to this scourge.

Of course! It couldn't possibly be Clinton's fault. He doesn't make his own decisions.
