Im a rolling stones fan..i know the main songs but since it was wayy before my time i dont really know the more obscure ones.. I have a greatest hits collection and its missing gimme shelter and sympathy for the devil which in my opinion are by far the best songs....So are there any other really good stones songs that dont really get too much airtime

They're before my time as well. I'm only 18, but I've always been a Stones fan. I've had every CD of theirs since I was 12 (well, aside from their newest releases...I have them now though). Obscure you say? Okay, here are some....

It's All Over Now
Lady Jane
No Expectations
Jig-Saw Puzzle
She Smiled Sweetly
My Obsession
Memory Motel
The Singer Not The Song
Tell Me (You're Not Coming Back)
Loving Cup
Shine A Light
Torn And Frayed
Highwire
Mothers Little Helper
Silver Train
19th Nervous Breakdown
Time Waits For No One
Love In Vain
You Got The Silver
Child Of The Moon
The Spider And The Fly
Before They Make Me Run (Keith doesn't do the best at singing in this one, but I love the lyrics)
Moonlight Mile
I Got The Blues
Little T&A
She's A Rainbow
In Another Land
2000 Man
....there are so many. And then the better knowns like Love Is Strong, Heart Of Stone, As Tear Goes By, Time Is On My Side, Get Off Of My Cloud, Sweet Virginia, The Last Time, You Can't Always Get What You Want, Play With Fire and so forth.

One of my favorite songs by the Stones was an early 60's hit called Tell Me ( You're coming back to me). It's not very polished and it's kind of bluesy, and it has always been one of my top 10 Stones songs. Dandelion is also one of the more obscure ones, and one day I suggest you invest in the Sticky Fingers album. And you do need Gimme Shelter...classic and one of their best songs. Enjoy getting to know their music.

The Rolling Stones are way before my time as well (I'm 25) and i only recently started listening to them. I bought their fourty licks album and got to say I'm impressed with most of the songs. I found a lot of songs in there that I knew but didnt realise they were by the Stones.

Under the boardwalk
I wanna be your man (Beatles cover)
Poison Ivy
Fortune Teller
She's a rainbow
Honky Tonk Women
Come On
Mother's Little Helper
Rocks Off
Get of my cloud

I suggest you get a list of all the Stones' songs ever published on single or on album. This way you can check what you got and what you are missing.
