You didn't say if it was a cell phone or house phone so that might make a difference on how you attempt to remedy the problem. First, if it is a house phone try using a blow dryer to dry it out on the inside through the small holes in the handset (Low heat only). If that doesn't work or if you don't have a blow dryer try waiting overnight and letting it just dry out on it's own. If it is a cell phone try taking it apart and removing the battery, sim card etc and using a blow dryer on low heat at a distance or even an electric fan or let it air dry overnight. Worst case scenario is that if the tears caused a short inside you may be looking at replacing the phone. Many cell phones have insurance coverage and if you have it play dumb and just say it stopped working because they don't cover if you get it wet etc. Phones are very sensitive to moisture, especially cellphones. PS.... I hope whatever made you cry will soon be all better. Good luck

Sorry to hear you were crying, must of been alot well here are your options, if you have insurance, they will replace the phone for you or you could lie and say it just stopped working and they might replace it for you if you have had it less than two weeks or longer maybe.

Also ypu may still be able to use the sim (the most important thing) so try it in a friends phone and if it works buy a new phone sorry but there is not much else you can do.

Don' t listen to the idiot who said use a hairdryer on the battery, this will only heat your battery above normal ranges and probably explode or burn you.

My friend dropped her phone in the toilet, first day $600!

Tears are salty, and salt water conducts electricity, so there may have been some damage done to the circuits in your phone. Try the ideas suggested above, as well as wiping the battery contacts first with a slightly damp cloth, then with a dry one, and do the same to the circuit board contacts if you can get at them. Wait for 24 hours and try it again. However, if that doesn't work, take it to a phone repair shop, tell them what happened, and they may be able to fix it fairly easily.

That's really sad, I'm sorry, I hope you feel better
As far as the cell phone, make sure its off (DO NOT TURN IT ON)

Take apart all of the components (Battery, antenna, front if possible)

Put a hairdryer on all the components about 2 feet away fro about 10 minutes.

Let it dry overnight in a dry warm place

Try it the next morning

I'm sorry)= I hope everything is okay! If it was a guy being a bastard, screw him! You're better than that I'm sure being that you're on this cool website(-;

ANyway, let it dry, it will most likely be fine. My ex did that one time when I was a bastard. Unfortunately if it gets wet it voids all warranty...check to see if the water thing was screwed up. If you only got it a bit wet, it may not have been affected.

Good luck and cheer up(= Remember...Today will be yesterday tomorrow!

First take ou the battery ... turn the phone upside down (button facing the floor) and shake the phone to see if any water comes out.

Then get a hair dryer and use the cool button to air it out.

Sounds like you fried your circuit board.
Its most likely caput now. Waranties don't usually cover this as well. If you have a house insurance with no excess you may be able to claim that way. Give it a try anyway.
The phone company wont want to to know you.

take the battery out. Take it apart as much as possible with out messing it up. Dry with hair dryer. Do NOT turn it on until tomorrow or put the battery back in until tomorrow. Good luck.
