I'm not even any good at standing up for myself, and I suck even more at standing up for other people. I do try to though. Have something like that happening right now where a woman I know is kinda getting reamed on by everybody. It's partially deserved, but not at all to the extent that its happening, and the people who are doing the attacking really ought to be stopping and thinking about the fact that they sure as heck aren't perfect themselves. I feel like I'm one tiny voice whenever I defend her, though.

I do. There are so many people who are scared out of their wits that they forget that they have rights, needs and desires. I will, from time to time, stand up for someone who is sincere and in trouble without imposing any obligation. It is true, that it is better to give then to receive. A helping hand; or a kind word, even a smile doesn't t cost anything.

I used to do that ALL the time when I was younger because I hated when meek people got picked on. Now, I just try to talk to the meek person and encourage him/her to stand up for themselves, because nobody's going to be there fighting for you in the real world.

Yes, I would never be able to live with myself if I just stood by and didn't do what was right!! Somebody needs to protect those that can't protect themselves!!

All the time. I work for a daycare for special needs kids, and both my kids are disabled. When someone puts them down, I am there fighting for them tooth and nail.

Yes, I try to do.
I see nothing special about that.
It has to be norm of human life.
