Why? i thought we all came here to ask/answer questions and give our opinions on certain topics. So why is it that everytime someone goes against the grain, they are called a hater? is that what a hater is, having a different opinion? i just got done looking at a question where someone disagreed with a popular opinion that Tupac wasnt the G.O.A.T., and people were coming in playin the "hater card"...since when are you a hater for having an opinion that you came up w/ your own mind, rather than just going w/ what some people think is cool, or what the majority of everyone else likes?

a stan isnt necessarily an insult (which you must think it is) its just a substitute for a fan of somebody......ie: if you like kobe bryant, i might call u a kobe bryant stan, u like george bush, i might call u a george bush stan

Lolipop...i see what you're sayin, but Ant never said he was opposed to Tupac, that he didnt like him, or anything along those lines..he just said he didnt feel he was the G.O.A.T., and i dont think its right that people are basically crucifying him for that..if someone was tired of him asking, they didnt really have to answer, or better yet, they could've just put up a statement for their side (to actually answer the question)

HNIC It's nothing wrong with having a different opinion. That has been my argument from day one! But to keep shoving you opinion down someone's throat, it gives ppl the perception that you are HATING! I just asked another question about the zillion of times the Pac/Biggie and the Pac being the GOAT, gets asked in this section. Seriously, it's becoming OLD. And the main ppl that are asking it are the ppl who are OPPOSED to Tupac (hmmm.... makes you wonder why that is..). Think about it.

Listen to what Puncho is saying. She is saying exactly what I'm saying! If you continue to bring up your opposistion to Pac, it does appear that you are being a HATER. Like it or not, that is the way it is. I can't describe it any other way. If you know that Rakim is the BEST, than stand by that. Post things that support your view (not necessarily always comparing him to Pac!) Just support your favorite. But to keep on making the COMPARISON isn't cool. It's like you're jealous of envious or something that Pac got so much attention. And that my friend is a hater.

Yeah but HNIC, If I'm not mistaken Ant is the one who posted the "Unspoken Rules for the Hip Hop Section" recently, in which he stated certain questions should NOT be asked repeatedly. Yet, he's doing the exact same thing. You can't have "selective rules." It doesn't work that way.

And I agree with Qwerty about the Stans and the "d**krider. There's no difference and no disrespect but I've heard you call a few ppl the latter more than once. :)

ANT: I DIDN'T SAY THAT *YOU* ASKED THE QUESTION MORE THAN ONCE! I SAID *YOU* POSTED THE "UNSPOKEN RULES FOR THE HIP HOP SECTION" IN WHICH YOU INDICATED CERTAIN QUESTIONS SHOULD NOT BE REPEATED OVER AND OVER AGAIN. SO I USED THIS EXAMPLE OF THE PAC VS. BIGGIE, PAC BEING THE G.O.A.T, PAC VS RAKIM, ETC, ETC... TO POINT OUT THAT YOU ASKED THIS QUESTION (KNOWING IT'S A REPEATED QUESTION) AND THIS WAS ONE OF YOUR OWN "RULES!!!"

HOWEVER~ THIS WASN'T REALLY ABOUT YOU. HNIC MENTIONED YOUR NAME SO I ADDED MY COMMENTARY ON THAT TO MAKE A POINT TO HNIC'S QUESTION (MY POINT: WE CAN'T HAVE SOME THINGS ONE WAY AND NOT THE OTHER... WE CAN'T HAVE SELECTIVE RULES ON HERE.). DO YOU HAVE A PROBLEM WITH THIS?? IF SO GET AT ME.

I just think everyone should chill just a bit. I know I've said this in some of my other replies, but no one can really change anyone else's opinion. It's like beating a dead horse. I get blasted almost everytime I mention that Pac is my favorite. People will automatically classify me as some youngster that doesn't know what I'm talking about (if only they knew how old I am :) or some Pac groupie, d***rider etc... So, very rarely do I even really ask questions about Pac anymore. It's all just a matter of opinions. I think Lolipop brought up some good points and so did Qwerty.

But to answer your question, I think people just have really strong difference in opinions and sometimes our judgment gets in the way of being civil. BUT I will say this, I agree with Lolipop, the Pac debate questions are getting kind of redundant.

Ant, ummmm I don't get it...

Lolipop brings up a lot of good points. I don't know who you are and I don't know anything about your recent Q/As or your "rules" that she is referring to. But I agree with her about the many comparisons and the opposition to Tupac. AND I agree about the using the "hater, d***rider, stan" thing. It does have a tendency to discredit people's opinions, when everyone is entitled to their own. If this doesn't answer your question, than take it offline with me. I'm not one to bicker back and fourth over this forum.

LOL- Haterade

Its cool to have your own opinion how boring would the world be if everyone thought the same thing.. But there are people who bring up the same question & same answer badgering the same people pointing out the same thing about that someone over and over again.. Thats a hater..

Why is it that when someone has a non-differing opinion, they are called a "stan?"

No disrespect, I'm just saying I don't like either argument because they are cop outs that instantly take away credibility from somebody, regardless of how that person acts. Sorry if I offended you, I'm more pissed off at how people keep repeating words like stan that you bring to the table like you were god.

Just people not being open minded to others opinions is the main reason.. And like my man said a lack of vocabulary will send a person to straight use the HATE card!!!!

It's the same as when someone defends one of their highly respected artist and another person that opposes comes out and calls them a dickrider. it's ridiculous. It's all opinions and respecting everyone's on here is at a minimum. sad isn't it

People got one track minds. It's hard for people to think outside of the box. This goes for many other things in life as well.

Because criticism or dissent are the key ingredients of Haterade? Or is because Ice Cube could really be the greatest of all time and noone wants to admit it? Think about it...
