There are great neighborhoods in almost every Broward city. I live in Deerfield Beach, which is nice bot not the best for kids. The schools aren't good - which is why we're moving.

Personally I like north Broward better - Lighthouse Point to the east, Coral Springs, Parkland or Coconut Creek further west.

There are hundreds of communities. Your best bet is to find a realtor and just have them send you listings, and drive around the area looking for the one you'll love.

Good luck.

i live in coral springs, but i live in a gated community we have homeowner fees, but its well worth it. There are excellent houses without homeowner fees on Coral ridge dr. and lakeview. it's a nice neighborhood and the houses are descent.

im not too familar with the ft.lauderdale area housing, but from what I see and hear it is not a good place to raise a family. There is alot of crime in ft.laud and not a good environment for kids.
Boca on the other hand is a fabuolous place to take residence if you can afford it. However, Most houses in Boca are in gated communities therefore include homeowner fees.
Thus, Coral Springs is ideal, due to its good location, low crime, excellent A and B level schools, and reasonable housing.
hope this helps.

I used to live in that part of Florida and can say that the nicer neighborhoods tend to be close to the coast or near the Everglades. However, be prepared to pay a lot to live in them.

Broward County is one of the most crime ridden couties not only in FL but in the US. So I would say NONE!
