Losing KG will hurt, but the team will be a lot better than some are expecting. The young kids will be playing hard to prove they deserve the minutes, meaning they should be scrappy and willing to buy into Wittman's system. On the other hand, they ARE young, so they'll make their share of mistakes in the process.
Jefferson is a lot better than he's given credit for. His post game is astounding and he's already got an NBA body (11 rpg in 33 minutes of burn, for a 21 year old, is a great sign). I could easily see him posting a 20 and 12 season, with 2+ blocks a night and a field goal percentage well over 50%. He's not nearly as polished as KG, but he's a nice consolation prize, considering the Wolves more or less had to do something. Jefferson is one of the next generation of big men about to take over the NBA, along with Dwight and Amare. The key as far as the value of the deal, from the Wolves perspective, will be Green. So far he's been nothing but a highlight reel. If he starts working on his jumper and playing consistent defense, he could be very good, making the deal great in the long run for Minnesota.
Overall though the Twolves have talent this year. Foye is going to explode. He was incredible last April, once he was inserted into the starting lineup. Brewer should contribute right away. Ricky Davis can be superb when his head is on straight, and you can do worse than Blount, Ratliff, and Juwan Howard down low, complimenting Jefferson.
The team should be fun to watch, as I think they'll play hard and run a lot. I doubt they win more than 30-35 games, but they won't be the worst team in the West either. That dubious honor will be fought for by the injury-plagued Blazers and Clippers, as well as by the dismantled, putrid Sonics.

I think they will lose a lot but still be fun to watch. Jefferson is ready to put up great numbers and join the leagues elite post players, he will not be enough to produce wins and the supporting players though athletic and talented are not ready for NBA pressure through out an 82 game season or for that matter 48 minutes. Green will be fun and though I disagree with those who think Corey Brewer will be big-time out of the gate this year he will have moments on the break and on D. Foye and Blount should develop this year and they need to stop talking about trading Ricky Davis if they hope to win more than 30 games this year. If I were a fan I would be very disapointed if they do not retain Davis and give him lots of minutes, if they don't think they can keep him I hope the Lakers get him.
If you love them you can enjoy them even as they lose. You will be watching a number of players who will develop into a good team in 2-3 seasons. I am not a Wolves fan but look forward to seeing them play this year.

Almost certain, they will not make the playoffs.
Almost certain, they will not have a winning record.
But for sure, they will not be at the bottom.
They still have a lot of talent in Randy Foye, Ricky Davis, Mark Blount, and Al Jefferson, thats more than other teams.
For example, the Portland Trailblazers.
After losing Oden, who do they have?
Brandon Roy, and LaMarcus Aldridge. Wow, that team looks amazing, doesn it? (sarcasm).
I'm going to guess that Minnesota ends up 4th from the bottom in the Western Conference.
Minnesota,
LA Clippers,
Sacramento,
Portland.

Terrible. Dead Last, perhaps.
I am against personal attacking but come on people.
They will do good?
Gerald Green and Al Jefferson?
COME ON PEOPLE!!!!! Jesus
Ok, so Al Jefferson is pretty sweet, but he is nowhere near a one man team. He still needs time to develope. Ricky Davis ain't bad, but with a terrible team I don't see his attitude being very good.
Rebuilding around Jefferson is a good idea, but their team is still sooo young. They are going to be bad for the next 3 years or so.

Only time, will tell how the Minnesota Timberwolves will do without Kevin Garret, but we will see, this is just going to be hard to predict.
