No mudslinging.
Ex: George Bush is a stupid monkey. The war is bad, (there are possitive eliments to the war)
Ex: Clinton is a fat loser. (the might be some possitive elements.)

Here is a good answer. (which is true)

Ex:I'll start it off. Voting records show that the more wealthy vote right wing. The more wealthy obvously had to be smart to get wealthy, so the Republicans are smarter.

If you can give a political candidate that is doing something that will better the U.S. the would be good also.

Republicans not only do more wealthy but more military personnel vote Republican than do Democrat. The Republicans are also stronger supporters of security, and smaller government. Smaller meaning less government involvement in the lives of the people. Now I will have to admit that under this our current president, well he must not have gotten the memo. Look at the Reagan Administration, when Libya began to threaten the U.S. Reagan warned him, then just bombed him back into the stone ages. He has been not said much ever since. Also it was under Reagan that he pushed the Soviet Union over the breaking point. The Republicans tend to focus more on Security, international affairs, and building a more solid United States buy helping businesses to grow and expand to higher more employees. The Democrats are for more entitlements meaning government hand outs to people on things like Social Security, Welfare and so on. They also get the big labor unions behind them. I would not really say one is smarter than the other they just see things differently. The Democrats do have some good ideas, but are always big into raising taxes on middle class America in order to fund their ideas. The Republicans think taxes should not be so high, and tend to have employers to pay for things like insurance and so on for their workers, instead of allowing the government to take over the health care system. I mean just look at all the people from Canada that come here for medical needs because their government run health system forces people to always go the cheapest way to try and fix their sicknesses. This is not in the best interest of the patient. It is good for the government because the person will be forced to use the very cheapest method though it may not be the best. I myself am for Fred Thompson. He has the ability to compromise, and seems to look at both sides before he acts. He also seems like a man of reason. That's what we need now, more than ever. I use to support Bush, but he has taken a giant leap away from what a Republican is and should stand for. Mind you this is just my opinion and I say research each candidate and look at all their sides the good and bad. Then go with the one you feel would be the best for our nation. Remember, it is not always about us as individuals, but us as a nation, and remaining a strong nation. Good luck, there is a whole lot of bull to look over but it will help you see which one you think would be best for the U.S.

Sure. No Republican here ever responds with fact, reason, evidence, to support their point of view. Ironically, even when answering this very question, AS IF TO PROVE JUST HOW STUPID THEY REALLY ARE. I saw a stat that only 6% of Scientists are Republicans. When I was young, it was the other way around. For some reason, I think starting with Clinton, the Republicans went insane with impeachment, fake scandals, and that is when you had a growth of Militia movements, anti-UN movements, and assorted lunacy on the right. Also, the lunacy on the left began in the 60's died out, so I guess they went over to the right. On the left, the Black Panthers were able to go armed into the capital building and protest gun laws. Sounds like something Palin could now, doesn't it?

Bad example and the example is false. The wealthy buy thier education and hand down the wealth to thier children. Very few earn the money on thier own. The poor earn an education with skill and by studying hard. The republicans cant do math the deficit is proof. They seem to think tax cuts is the answer but history has shown tax cuts lead to larger deficits, larger unemployment, and reduced social programs. The republican tax cuts are too measly to create real jobs. The democrats always get blamed for increases in taxes because the republicans make too many cuts and run the economy down. The dems know how to properly manage the country. Sounds like you need an education in economics due to your false example. Take a principle of logics class and you will know how to write logical true sentences. The democrats for the most part are smarter than republicans.

Amnesty's posting is a good example. Blaming the dems for amnesty when it was GWB the republican who proposed amnesty and guest worker status. Thank you Amnesty for helping me prove my point!

NEITHER !
And your reasoning is ridiculous. Maybe you ought to do some research and find out just how some of those rich Republicans got their money.
Let's see, old money from slavery
old money from oil and gas(Bush falls into this one)

The wealthy vote for Republicans because they tend to give tax breaks to the RICH.
******* asinines in this place are starting to piss me off....

Personally, I don't think intelligence is ideologically based. I have seen intelligent reasoning from both sides of the political spectrum. I wouldn't presume to suggest any relationship at all.

As for presidential candidates, I would argue that the smartest of the bunch (in no particular order) are Clinton, Giuliani, Richardson, and Thompson.

As for your "example", it hardly seems worth answering (but being at heart pedantic, I will). By your reasoning, at least in the realm of our elected officials, Democrats are smarter: four of the five richest men in Congress are Democrats. John Kerry is worth five times as much as the wealthiest Republican. Does that make him five times as smart? ;)

Cheers.

You do realize this question has no answer right? Politics is when someone with some guts and beliefs takes on someone else with some guts and beliefs. The person watching the campaigns unfold gets to decide who they think is right. Then again, lets us not forget Dan Quayle.

Republicans think people want to kill us because they are "jealous of our freedom." It doesn't get much neanderthal than that. but dems won't end this b.s. war, so both suck.
