My favorite would have to be Lynyrd Skynyrd because of their thought provoking lyrics and awesome southern rock type sound. How about you all?

Mine would be Pink Floyd. Like you said about Skynyrd, Floyd songs are also very thought provoking. I luv Skynyrd too. Floyd songs have a tendency to get in your head. There are so many great Classic Rock Bands, I could give ya a list!! :) Peace

Robert Plant is a beast
Jimmy Page is a master of song and guitar
John Paul Jones is amazingly innovative at bass, keyboards, AND mandolin
John Bonham is the most influential rock drummer ever

I have lots of favorites but Pink Floyd would probably be my #1 in Classic Rock. They have the most unique sound and creativity of them all, I mean you cant even put them into the same category with everyone else. When I listen to their music I feel like Im in another world, they're awesome!

The Who. I never used to appreciate albums until I got into them. I like the mix of their voices, the innovative use of synthesizers, and the writing/composition. There will just be these little lines and phrases in the songs that get me.

Rainbow-i'm sure if they would have stuck around a little longer they would have become even greater. You can't beat the voice of Ronnie James Dio. Roger Glover has pretty decent pipes as well.
