Calculate the width of the attic and multiply by the length and then ask your lumber store how many square feet of insulation is in a package. For example, if you want R20 insulation that is 16" wide, there may be 50 square feet in a bundle. If your attic is 20X40 feet you have 800 square feet of attic divided by 50 is 16 bundles.
