Even if they have a positive feedback I would still be skeptical.. If you could do it by Paypal I would take that route.

Ebay is a Place that allowes Commerce. Paying with Money orders is Risky, but if its a must then, it is reccomended that you chat with the person over a phone or email or anyway to get ahold of them. There looking for positive feedback so use that to your atvantage. a bad mark on there list will tante there rep. But Like always in any transaction, you give the will to buy first you pay second, then they give you the product last. a money order is no different. but to Secure the contract. Your ebay must say "You Have Won this Item" this will give you limited Rights to the transaction. so you can argue your case publically if somthing happens. But money orders are just like Cash in a Envlope.

No. I have a friend who sent money to California for a motorcycle and they never got the motorcycle. It was a phony set up and they lost $6500.00 So no, I don't trust it. EBay even told them too bad and would not help them out. So no I don't patronize eBay now!

Absolutely not. If the person is not willing to go through Pay Pal, you will NEVER get your money back if it is a scam.
A friend of mine lost $12,000.00 getting scammed like this on EBay! He never received the two 4-wheelers he paid for through a wire transfer.
Any person on EBay who refuses to conduct the transaction outside of Pay Pal should NOT be trusted, believe me!

Hell no, unless you have family in China that could do the transaction for you, and i hope it's not a large amount of money.

Heck no.
It's paypal or nothing. At least with paypal you have some recourse if the item doesn't show up.
