There is a local pastor who chases homeless people away with a shotgun (yes really a shotgun) i believe that the shotgun is actually his and is registered but he chased homeless people who only sat under the roof when it either got too windy, it was snowing or raining. they done no harm they were hidden from the public (backdoor) and they didnt do really anything or even urinate or anything. does the pastor have the right to chase homeless people away like that? what can be done?

Doesn,t sound like much of a pastor to me. He may be in the law, maybe not, but he should lighten up. Jesus was homeless...ask him to read Hebrews 13:2.

No. If he shot and injured or killed a homeless person just sitting at the church, he would be charged with a crime.
Call the police and have them investigate the situation.

Well, that speakes volumes of his understanding of Christian values and compassion!
Suggest him to call the local shelter to pick up the homless people, or call them yourself.
And please tell him that he is not giving a good example to the people... specially the kids.
Wow, pastors and guns... one more reason I am a Buddhist!

No he has no right unless they were attacking him, which by your description they were not. I would not recommend anyone go to that church. I could see him passing the basket around while toting his gun.
