I think women should wear whatever they feel comfortable in. Clothing is merely a social construct and was often used in the case of women to make them more vulnerable or controlled by others. Foot binding, anorexia, waist cinching and using lead based cosmetic to make their complextions paler were some of the earlier detrimental fashion trends.

I think pants are far more comfortable that dresses and skirts. That's why I prefer wearing them to dresses. I don't have to worry about putting on panty hose (I think bare legs look ugly for the most part) nor do I have to worry that someone may be able to see up my skirt. Considering that there are many secretly taken pictures of women's crotches plastered all over the Internet, I would say my concerns about looking up my skirt are quite valid. At least with a pair of pants, nobody can sneak a camera into a bag or put it in a trash can in a restroom, point it up my skirt, and take a picture of my crotch without my knowledge. Unlike certain celebrities, I do wear panties but still, I don't want that area photographed and put on the Internet for public viewing.

I mostly wear skirts, but if I wear jeans I put on a feminine blouse.
Personally, the men's/women's clothes issue is more of a cultural thing IMO. Did you know that T-shirts were originally meant to be worn by Army men? Does that mean a woman is trying to be a man if she has on a T-shirt and a skirt?

I personally admire women in a store, mall, etc that do dress feminine as opposed to women who do not care about their appearance and that are always wearing jeans, I just don't find women in jeans attractive.
Honestly, I think it's a ghetto phenomenon because when I'm in a middle/upper class area I notice the women do wear skirts, dresses, etc.
When I'm downtown or in less desirable sort of ghetto area where no one speaks English, I notice none of the women care to dress feminine. If you notice in private schools in the better areas, the girls always wear uniforms that are skirts but in public schools the girls uniforms are usually pants, why is that? By nature there is a marked difference between the male and female, even in the animal kingdom. It is
a shameful thing to destroy the lines of demarcation.

It all depends upon the situation and the form of the woman; some women look so much more feminine in pants; after all, not every woman has a good set of legs!
P.S. It used to be that women did wear pants, and men wore skirts (look at pictures of ancient Greeks, Scottish Highlanders, etc.)

Women can wear what they want but skirts are hot. There is not enough **good skirts in my school now. If I saw a guy wearing a dress I'd ask him where he bought it! Hard to find dresses without cups for boobs (which I don't have cause I'm a dude who likes the shock people =] )
**Good skirts are down to your knees bad ones are just slutty and like 3 inches long

I think women who wear pants are slightly lesbian looking, sorry if that offends anyone but that's the way I see it. It's all this trans gender nonsense of today.
It’s kind of funny that for nearly 6000 years, women always wore long dresses, but only since the last
40 years, a dress is suddenly "impractical" to wear. You cannot change history to validate what you
want to make acceptable for today. Nowadays, women think that they cannot so much as rake a few leaves
without adorning themselves in a pair of pants.

As almost all women wear pants now, I don't think the automatic assumption is that a woman is a tomboy or a lesbian if she's wearing them. This question belongs in 1865 or so.

I wear skirts and dresses because they are SO MUCH MORE comfortable than jeans. I don't really care about being feminine or whatever. I HATE wearing jeans and pants and shorts.

I honestly don't care what they wear, as long as they don't make anyone run in terror. I personally prefer wearing pants — I always feel conspicuous in skirts or dresses, since I don't have much occasion to wear them.
