Manifold generally means varied or many, with many features or forms.
A set of similarly printed sheets arranged one below the other with pre-coated carbon or requiring use of carbons between the sheets is called a manifold set of papers. A manifold pipe has several outlets from it or inlets into it.
While this is what manifold stands for, perhaps the word non-manifold might mean that it is something that is not manifold, i.e. single piece, or is unvarying.
If the context in which non-manifold has been used is known, then one could attempt to provide a more precise meaning.
