First of all I would pay all my debts, loans and bills. Then I would be able to pay for my son and daughter to go through their University courses. Then I would buy the house we rent. And then I would add a first floor extension with a master bedroom and ensuite bathroom.Once that had been done I would sell it making a profit and move on to build the best example I could of an eco friendly zero carbon building which was self sustainable with wind power, solar panels, grey water recycling, rainwater harvesting and all natural materials. I would buy a compressed air car for my wife, my son, my daughter and myself.
Then, again depending on how much I won, I would start to build the first of many schools and exhibition galleries where I would teach sustainable architecture and factory built units with self sufficient passive energy systems. I would also have courses for product design and the fine arts. Depending on how much I won at the lottery I would like to set up a factory designing and building low cost sustainable zero carbon buildings which would only be for sale to those who could not afford to buy houses in the present financial climate in the UK. The completed self sufficient house would be exhibited in the exhibition hall as would the compressed air cars and products and art from the school. All these items would be for sale. I would then like the income from the school and the factory to sustain similar projects in other regions until all seven regions of England had these allied schools and factories. Then I would like the work and the enterprises to continue to other countries and set up a franchise to emulate exactly the same ethics and value systems that I have taught.

If I won the lottery, I would pay off all of my school loans, give my parents enough money so that they can retire early & finally enjoy their life, helps others: buy backpack & school supplies for kids, build more homeless shelter, create jobs for people, gave money to the children hospital & start a foundation so that low income kids can attend college & pursue their career, & etc.

I wish I could say I would spend all of it on others, but I'm not perfect. I would probably do some very selfish things with some of it, and because of this I don't think God would let me win. But rather than just giving the rest away to the church or to a charity, I would travel across the country just going from town to town, and really getting to know people and using the money to make their dreams come true, get out of debt, etc., using the money to show them the kind of selfless love that God has for each of us.

First, I would donate 20% to the Lord. Then I would pay off all of my creditors. Then I would go and buy a section of land and build a modest sized home, smack dab in the middle of it. I would buy a compact car (nothing fancy or too sporty) for my 17 year old daughter and a new vehicle for the family. I would pay off my father's house and any bills that he had. Then, I would sit down and bawl and then decide what to do with the rest of it.

depends how much you're talking about.
lets start with $10 lol
well... save to buy a new pants
$100
give half to my grandmother
$1000
save to buy x-mas gifts for my parents, family
$10000
save for college
$100000
travel here, travel there with friends, family, and save the rest for college
$1000000
buy my own place, invest the rest in my college fund.
$10000000
donate some, buy my own place (small, not fancy), invest some to my college fund, travel here and there... maybe get a car or something and keep the rest in my bank acct or something like that.. not spend everything in crazy things or fancy places, fancy cars or buy a lot of things.

I would deposit it in safe government bonds for one year. When the first interest payment came due, I would use that to spend, and the same year, after year, always keeping the principal to pass on. One million brings 80,000 a year, who couldn`t live on that? How about 100,000,000?

Thoroughly study what all the other Lotto winners did and then not do those things. Almost all of them went bankrupt, lost their families, became addicted and all the other things that can go wrong. After all that, then I would decide what I wanted to do.

I would pick out a few choice people in my life that need a hand up, and help them out. I would buy a house that my wife and I could retire in. I would take care of my kids education also.
