This is an intriguing, very well written piece of prose. It opens a door to the past, and long forgotten "episodes" in my life come to fore, once again. I remember decisions made that were wise. At the time, youth was driving my actions instinctively. Whenever I had the smallest feeling of uneasiness, I fled. Very powerful writing, Fred. This piece of prose is a "jackhammer" Congrads to you on words you wrote that will stick with me.
