I would miss a lot of beauty. The "birds" also take care of a lot of bugs, some of which are dangerous, to human kind. That means that they have "saved" a great deal of lives. I love the birds very much. What shall we then say to these things? If GOD be for us, WHO can be against us? - Romans 8:31. The Lord daily loadeth us with BENEFITS, even the God of our salvation. Selah. - Psalm 68:19. My favorite website is below. Peace, Love and God Bless.

In addition to being evidence that a God exists, if birds didn't exist, you'd forget to look up and to remember that there is more going on in life that we're aware of at any time.

It'd be a far lonelier place knowing that birds suddenly were no longer here, even though we take them for granted. With their chirping gone, the world would actually be noisier, because the only sounds that we'd be attuned to would be the sounds of cars, electronics and people jabber.

They contribute to the ecological balance of nature. There would be less diversity in flowers and trees, because birds help to carry pollen from one place to another. They contribute to ecological balance because, depending upon the kind of bird, they eat things like as rats, snakes, bugs, frogs, mosquitoes, and insects, etc. Without them, many of these critters would overgrow the their niche without any way to control their population.

And true, auto painters might lose some work--but really, not much.

Good luck!

1) the eco-system would be thrown off, because birds are a part of the food-chain!

So it would affect more than birds and cars, since the animals that normally eat birds (think cougars, not people) wouldn't be able to. And they obviously eat all kinds of bugs and plants.

2) if a butterfly can flap its wings in Asia and cause a thunderstorm in Chicago (see Chaos Theory), then just imagine what would happen with no bird-wings pushing air around..

But I'm just a computer-nerd, so maybe some bird-nerds can step in here.

And you might try the Science section for better results..

Well if this sounds like a stupid awnser then im sorry i dont mean for it to be...
But birds are an important part to the enviromental food cycle throughout the planet. Also, we may not have airplanes today if people did not study the wing shape of birds in the past. Just think outside the box like that.

Well birds eat many insects and animals that are up in trees that other animals can't get to. If there were no birds, then all those insects and animal populations would get huge.
Also, birds migrate into different places, which changes the populations of other animals all over the world because of food chains, ie: the birds eat the insect, the larger animals eat the bird.
If there were no birds then the animals that eat birds would die out or have to find other sources of food, which would in turn affect the growth of those other animals' populations.
If there were no birds we would have to find other animals to throw bread to in the park.
If there were no birds then we would have to find something else to fillow our fluffy quilts with, other that feathers.
Hope that helps :)

Many forms of plant life would not be able to reproduce without the help they receive from birds. The bird eats the fruits and later deposits the seeds in a new location along with a small supply of fertilize. Many of the foods that we love would not be available if there were no birds, because EGGS are a part of many recipes. Many of the plant SEEDS that are EATEN by birds would SPROUT and GROW into uncontrolled billions of weeds and grasses if there were no birds to eat those seeds. The diets of the worlds people would change radically without the meat of birds to eat.

I guess there would be more insects since birds eat insects.

A change in evolution. (For those who believe in evolution and nothing for those who don't) Try looking up the evolution process, I know birds have something to do with it but don't really remember.

Don't know what more to tell you but just to give you a little more help, think outside of city birds. Try looking up endangered birds and find out what the consequence are if they are gone.

Good luck, hope I helped.

We would have no Mormons in Utah because there would have been no seagulls to eat the locust horde destroying their crops.

There would be many, many more creepy-crawlies because some birds feed on them. That also applies to some flying insects.

Some plants depend on small birds for pollination.

Many plants depend on birds carrying their seeds and depositing them at a distance in their droppings. See? That stuff does serve a purpose.

Philosophically, birds serve as an inspiration for thought and conjectures of freedom and flight.

There would be a shite load more insects around because the birds would not be eating them and it would be much quieter. Just listen outside to how many birds you can hear.
Also, a lot of plants would not germinate because birds eat seeds from plants and when they poo, the seeds fall to the ground and some that are not digested will grow in the ground and spread the amount of plants that grow.

Your answer to this question will determine if you pass science this year? What do we get?? I wanna pass science as well.

Dang.

Do your own homework! Think about it. What do birds eat? Start with that. Then go to how they move about in the world. What part of the food chain eats them? What part of the world are they found in - or NOT found in?
