Surely by now even the pompous English can agree the idea of a Monarchy is outdated, landed Gentry my a_ss, more like inbred spoilt freaks !

Any royal family is a disgrace for the country society. In the old times they were the power, the head of stated, now they are only decoration and another reason to steal money from the contributors. At least, a bad president or prime minister, you can kick him/her out in the next elections but with the monarquy, you can't do anything about it.

The majority of Brits still want them and tradition. As for the Royals themselves, Prince Philip said if the English wish it, he could be out in a day, and his wife (the Queen) would take about two weeks to pack. She is landed--owns a lot of property.

The monarchy may be outdated, but they are just normal people. No more disgraceful than people I know.

I think many people want to think of the old ways! The royal family are just acting like most other people that have tons of money and alot of power......I guess they don't know how to be any different,,nobody taught them any other way to be!!!!!

If most English people felt that way than they would vote out the family, but they don't, and never will, too bad, I persoanally think they are all a joke.
