The compound you've got is sodium chromate.

Broken down you've got: Na+ & CrO4²-

Na+ = sodium
CrO4²- = chromate (this is probably one of those compounds you just have to memorize, I am pretty sure there's a list in your textbook) =)

I hope this helps!

Good luck! =)

Love,
Mary ♥

Na+ is the sodium ion

CrO4 2- is the chromate ion

Both ions can combine to form Na2CrO4, which is "sodium chromate".
